Charles Wright is an executive advisor, organizational strategist, and systems thinker who helps mission-driven organizations navigate complex challenges, strengthen organizational capacity, and align leadership, strategy, and operations around long-term impact.
Drawing on more than two decades of executive leadership across public education, philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, governance, and the private sector, Charles has helped organizations navigate executive transitions, develop long-term strategies, strengthen governance, modernize organizational systems, and lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. His experience includes executive leadership roles in large urban school systems, national philanthropic organizations, independent advisory work with mission-driven organizations, and board leadership during periods of significant organizational growth and transition.
Throughout his career, Charles has been drawn to a common question: Why do some organizations consistently achieve meaningful progress while others struggle to sustain it despite the dedication and talent of their people? That question has shaped his work across sectors and ultimately led to the development of the K–12 System Transformation Accelerator.
Charles is the founder of Wright Associates, an independent executive advisory practice supporting mission-driven organizations in strengthening leadership capacity, refining strategy, modernizing organizational systems, and building the capability needed to achieve lasting impact. He is also the creator of the K–12 System Transformation Accelerator, an emerging operating system framework designed to help communities intentionally modernize and continuously steward the systems supporting students and the adults who serve them.
